This NORSOK document specifies principles, practices, functional requirements and guidelines for integrity management of offshore structures and marine systems throughout their service life, including the decommissioning phase up to and including removal.This document is applicable to all types of offshore structures and marine systems used in the petroleum activities. Marine systems include systems for maintaining water and weather tight integrity, stability and position keeping.This document covers all aspects of integrity management, including the management of data, inspection and monitoring strategies, surveillance programme and execution, integrity evaluation and integrity assessment.This document specifies requirements to integrity management and assessment of existing offshore structures and marine systems, throughout their service life and the decommissioned phase until and including removal. This document is a supplement to NORSOK N-001:2020+AC:2021, NORSOK N-003:2017+AC:2018 and NORSOK N-004:2022+AC:2024. Initiators for when such assessment is needed are covered in this document, in accordance with NORSOK N-001:2020+AC:2021.This document serves as an alternative to NORSOK N-001:2020+AC:2021 for cases where:structures and marine systems are to be operated beyond original design requirements;structural and marine system integrity is not easily verified through ordinary design calculations;additional information gained through the life (including service-life and decommissioned phase until removal) of the structure and marine system can be used to demonstrate the integrity.The general principles given in this document are applicable to different types of materials used including steel, concrete and aluminium. Assessment of structures and marine systems of other materials are not included in this document.
