This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) establishes the requirements for lubricating oil filters for general aviation reciprocating engine applications with lubricating oil systems normally operating in a pressure range of 345 to 689 kPa (50 to100 psig). Purpose: This document defines uniform parameters for the design, manufacture, and test of filters for general aviation lubricating oil systems for aircraft type piston engines.
