Omfang

This standard describes gravel, high-density gravel, silica sand, high-density media, anthracite filter materials, and the placement of the materials in filters for water supply service application. ANSUAWWA B604 Standard for Granular Activated Carbon addresses use of GAC as a filter medium and as an adsorbent. Purpose The purpose of this standard is to provide purchasers with a standard for purchasing and installing granular filter material (filter material) and is not a guide for filter design.
