Abstract

This SAE Recommended Practice applies to personal watercraft as defined in Section 3. Purpose This document specifies guidelines for display of rated persons capacity marking of personal watercraft. It is intended as a guide toward standard practice and is subject to change to keep pace with experience and technical advances. Rationale SAE J2566 was developed as a uniform method for display of persons capacity marking for manufacturers to follow that reflects the number of persons a watercraft is rated to carry.
