Abstract

1. Scope--This SAE Standard covers rubber hose assemblies using fittings specified in the appropriate associated slash sheet (SAE J1754-2) for use in hydraulic systems using petroleum-based hydraulic fluids with working pressures of 21 MPa or less and working temperatures of −40 °C minimum and +100 °C maximum. For the purpose of conversion and substitution, hose assemblies rated at 21 MPa shall be considered totally interchangeable with hose assemblies previously rated at 3000 psi. Working pressure is defined as maximum system relief pressure.
