Abstract

1. Scope--This SAE Recommended Practice applies to cranes when used in lifting-crane service which are equipped with load-moment devices. 1.1 Purpose--The purpose of this document is to establish the minimum performance criteria of systems used to warn or indicate to the operator and/or other responsible persons when the load being lifted approaches and meets the rated load value on the applicable load-rating chart of the crane.
