Abstract

This Part 2 of the European Standard is applicable to the design and construction of refrigerating systems and the components and materials used including piping. It also specifies requirements for testing, commissioning, marking and documentation. NOTE: The classification of refrigerants as defined in Directive 97/23/EC and the associated technical requirements of pressure equipment are listed in the European standard on "Pressure equipment for refrigerating systems and heat pumps – Part 1: Vessels – General requirements" which is in preparation, see informative annex E.
