Abstract

TH IS chapter summarizes load characteristics and both general and specific design criteria that apply to commercial buildings. Design criteria include such factors as comfort level; cost; and fire, smoke, and odor control. Specific information is included on dining and entertainment centers, ofice buildings, bowling centers, communication centers, transportation centers, and warehouses. Museums, libraries, and archives are covered in Chapter 21.
