This NORSOK standard defines the requirements for the architectural design, engineering and development of the LQ area (as defined in 6) on offshore installations in the petroleum industry. This NORSOK standard is primarily applicable to fixed installations. The standard can also be used for mobile installations for which, however, other requirements may be applicable.
