Form This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of castings (see 8.6). Application These castings have been used typically for parts where strength is not a prime consideration, but usage is not limited to such applications. AMS4212 covers a similar material in the solution and precipitation heat-treated condition with higher strength requirements.
