Omfang

This alloy is intended for use where high strength is required and no welding is involved. Tempers T351 and T4 should not be used where optimum corrosion resistance is required. Tempers T62, T72, and T851 should be specified when optimum resistance to stress corrosion is required. The T351 and T851 tempers are intended primarily to provide material with low residual stresses and consequent minimum distortion during machining.
