Omfang

This International Standard gives a list of equivalent terms relating to paints, varnishes and related products and their raw materials. NOTE This International Standard has been developed in collaboration with CEN/TC 139. Each of the official ISO and CEN languages is given in a separate column (English, French and German). The German terms are published under the responsibility of the member body for Germany (DIN). In addition to the equivalent terms in the ISO and CEN languages, this International Standard gives the equivalent terms in Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish and Swedish. ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 35 and CEN Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 have followed the multi-language approach for this standard to extend the application possibilities for the list of equivalent terms. The equivalent terms in the non-official languages are published under the responsibility of the member bodies for the Czech Republic (CSNI), Denmark (DS), the Netherlands (NNI), Finland (SFS), Italy (UNI), Norway (NSF), Portugal (IPQ), Romania (ASRO), Spain (AENOR) and Sweden (SIS). However, only the terms given in the official ISO languages can be considered as ISO terms.
