Omfang

This European Standard defines a number of generic terms relating to various processes of surface treatment. The list is not complete and only comprises those terms considered necessary to clarify the scope of such processes. This European Standard also establishes the glossary for electroplating and related processes. It includes terms widely used in the science and industry of electrodeposition and metal finishing. It does not include the glossary for specific coatings (e. g. vitreous enamel- porcelain enamel) for which separate documents exist or are in preparation.
