Omfang

The purpose of this standard is to present practical methods for determining net deliveries of LPG, NGL, and similar fluids into or out of a closed pressurized container such as a storage tank, rail car, barge tank, marine vessel, or transport truck by applying net vapor space corrections to the vapor space above the indicated liquid volumes determined from level measurements.  Fluids to which this method may be applied include commercially available LPGs, NGLs, and similar fluids.  The applicable density, pressure, and temperature ranges are limited by the equation of state or algorithm.  Methods for determining gross volumes, relative density, pressure, temperature, and composition are not covered by this standard.
