Omfang

This document sets out the installation and commissioning requirements for non-urban metering systems in — (a) closed conduit, fully charged applications; and (b) open channel and partially filled conduit applications. The document covers metering principally used for non-urban water supply. NOTE 1 Technical requirements for metering systems are specified in AS 4747.2 (closed conduit) and AS 4747.3 (open channel). The technical requirements in this document also cover closed conduit metering systems that will be used in open channel emplacements. his document excludes the following: (i) Validation and verification of metering systems. (ii) Telemetry systems. NOTE 2 Telemetry systems can be subject to regulatory requirements. (iii) Meters covered by AS 3565.1.
