Abstract

Form This specification covers a corrosion- and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of bars, forgings, and flash welded rings in the solution heat-treated condition, 5 inches (127 mm) and under in nominal diameter or least distance between parallel sides (thickness) having a maximum cross-sectional area of 50 square inches (323 cm2), and stock of any size for forging, flash welded rings, or heading. Application These products have been used typically for parts requiring high resistance to creep and stress-rupture up to 1400 °F (760 °C) and oxidation resistance up to 1800 °F (982 °C), particularly those parts which are formed or welded and then precipitation heat treated to develop required properties, but usage is not limited to such applications.
