Abstract

Form  This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of die forgings from over 2.000 to 10.000 inches (50.8 to 254 mm) in nominal thickness and forging stock of any size (see 8.6).  Application  These forgings have been used typically for machined structural parts where low density is needed in combination with a high level of mechanical properties and good resistance to stress-corrosion cracking, but usage is not limited to such applications.
