Abstract

Form: This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of die forgings, hand forgings, and forging stock. Application: These products have been used typically for parts to be machined prior to final heat treatment requiring a combination of dimensional stability and accentuation of ultrasonic response, and to achieve maximum mechanical properties with high resistance to stress-corrosion cracking after solution and precipitation heat treatment to T73 temper, but usage is not limited to such applications.
