Abstract

Purpose This specification covers a procedure, typically referred to as Blue Etch Anodize, for revealing the macrostructure and microstructure of selected titanium alloys. Application This procedure has been used typically for detecting segregation, inclusions, and other defects in alpha-beta and certain alpha titanium alloys.
