Abstract

The tubing procurable to this specification is intended for use in high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including those conforming to MIL-H-5440, MIL-H-25475, MIL-H-8891, and MIL-P-5518. The tubing is not suitable for use in applications assembled by welding or brazing or exposed to temperature higher than 800°F, because of impaired resistance to corrosion. Small diameter tubing conforming to specification MIL-T-8504 may be used in lieu of tubing under 1/4 inch outside diameter formerly covered by this specification.
