Abstract

This document provides manufacturers with requirements for the design, manufacture and performance testing of a standardised fire service key system that is used to secure fire safety equipment and components of fire safety systems. It is based on the previous “Lockwood 003” keying systems. This document applies to the keys and the keyway system, such as pin tumbler mechanisms, cylinders, padlocks and plugs/barrels. This document does not apply to locking mechanisms, such as mortice locks, door strikes and associated door hardware.
